Aurora is an ad board for independent companions, built to the standard of a premium directory and operated from Canada. Advertisers verify with a government ID, a person reviews every ad, and the advertiser's own contact details are on it. Aurora sells the ad and nothing else.
Why we are building this
The boards sell attention. We sell trust.
The classifieds boards that dominate this industry have not changed in twenty years. A verified badge means a selfie holding a piece of paper. Readers cannot tell a real ad from a stolen one, advertisers compete with fakes, and nobody is accountable to anyone.
The premium directories solved the trust problem years ago with real identity checks and real editorial review, and charge for it. Aurora takes that standard and applies it to the direct, self-serve model people actually use: your ad, your contact lines, your clients, paid for one period at a time.
Regulators are catching up with the industry. The EU Digital Services Act requires platforms to explain how they moderate. Age-assurance law is spreading across Europe, North America and Australia. Aurora is built for that from the first line of code: verification by a named method, a report path on every ad, a statement of reasons for every decision.
Principles
Five rules we do not bend.
- Compliance first. If a feature conflicts with the law, the law wins.
- Privacy by design. We keep the minimum, encrypt it, and delete it when you ask.
- No dark patterns. Nothing renews on its own, nothing is charged quietly, no fake scarcity, no fake profiles.
- Advertisers come first. The platform exists to get their ad in front of the right people, and then get out of the way.
- Nobody is reviewed in public, in either direction.

Aurora lists cities across Canada, the United States, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Advertisers can create an account from anywhere; onboarding is open where our counsel has reviewed local law. The first advertisers in each city are being verified now.
